SOP Statement of Purpose for Mining Germany
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Its boundless possibilities and instant outcomes
are what I find most simulating and appealing about Mining Engineering. Keeping
an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe in constant learning
process. I was fortunate to begun with a good early education and as I grew, my
interests and abilities were inclined towards the physical nature of the
universe. Gaining knowledge itself is the key factor to my life.
My respect for education and inclination towards
applied sciences drove me opt for Mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology
in my School of secondary education after Schooling I felt that engineering
would be the area to learn and explore how fundamentals of science are applied
in practical world. Moreover my innate strengths always been creative and the
power of imagination; which made me to take up a discipline that would allow me
to channel in best way. Thus, Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering was a direct consequence of my convictions. Subjects
like Thermal, Manufacturing Technology,
Engineering materials, Design of Machine elements, CAD/CAM, Energy Sources, and
Engineering Mechanics etc., revealed my limitless ideology in the field of
Mechanical Engineering. I have participated in Industrial training program for six months as apart of academic
curriculum; which gained excellent knowledge in Production and Machinery.
My undergraduate studies in the Department of
Automobile Engineering of Godavari Institute of Engineering
& Technology Campus, Affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological
University, Kakinada, has exposed
me to a stimulating academic environment where learning has provided a thorough exposure to the various core
subjects available in Automobile Engineering along with Environmental and
mining subjects, thus stimulating interest in advanced research in both the
fields. Through the opportunities I have had
during the course and helped me to perform well in Thermodynamics, Thermal Engineering, Production Technology, Engineering
Mechanics, Kinematics of Machinery, Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machinery, Product
Design & Assembly Automation, CAD/CAM and maintained strong in Vehicle Transport Management.
Which revealed to me limitless horizons in the field of Automobile Engineering
and thereby completing my Bachelor of Technology in Automobile Engineering with
good grade from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
My
undergraduate study was a gratifying experience, during which I have participated
in various Training programs and Technical events like JV Workshops associated
with CARZ (A multi branded car care center) and participated in AutoBots
(technical Event organized by Department of Automobile Engineering, Godavari
Institute of Engineering &Technology. My U.G project GO-KART main aim is to
design and analyze and to reduce the manufacturing costs. It contains study of
literature used for understanding the concept, conceptual designs and calculations
regarding establishment of small scale industry that are essential for the
process of fabrication. Additionally after completion of my Graduation, I have
done Master Certificate in Computer Aided Tool Engineering; which includes
designing software’s like Auto CAD, PRO-E (CREO),
CATIA, UNIGRAPHICS NX, SOLIDWORKS, ANSYS, HYPERMESH, DELCAM, MASTERCAM, CNC-CMM,
and Tool Engineering.
As a graduate in Automobile Engineering, I look
for Master’s Degree to refine my knowledge and skill set in areas of my
interest. I feel that future generation is going to suffer due to lack of fuels.
I want to study the possibilities of developing alternative fuels. It will also
open up several avenues as far as my goal of career as a research professional
at academic, commercial or research oriented organization is concerned. I
intend to pursue my Master’s Degree in order to achieve this goal. Being an
ardent adventurous and adaptive I dare to claim that, throughout my life,
curiosity has been the main feature of my personal character. I always sought
new challenges, new questions and new answers and I do believe that it has been
this love of novelty which has led me towards education success.
Germany has always been the world leader in
technology, and without question it is the motherland of Engineering and Land
of Ideas. Germany avails the advantages of securing the best of knowledge,
quality of education, good life style and above all the international exposure.
Browsing through the information brochure and the Clausthal University of
Technology's web page I feel that the Graduate Study in your university holds a
lot of promise to me. The breadth and depth of the courses coupled with a
stimulating research environment seem to me the right mix for seminal work and
pioneering research. I believe that with variety of courses offered and with
highly knowledgeable faculty and excellent facilities, the University will
provide a perfect environment to focus all my resources towards my goal.
I
believe that the Master’s program in “Mining Engineering” will not only help me
find a career in a research organization but also give me an opportunity to
explore and broaden the scope of my understanding through coursework and
research at your university. I am fully aware that a pursuit in research and
academics requires a high level of dedication, determination, motivation and
self-discipline. I wish to aver that I will make
maximum use of all these opportunities bestowed upon me and shall pursue my
goals with whole hearted dedication and can live to the high standards set by
the university which would help me to serve the environment.
An assistantship besides providing financial support as seen fit
by the university official would gain me valuable research experience and will
place me in a good stead leader in my career. If I am given chance, I will
strive to be one among the best students of the university.
Expecting
a favorable consideration and looking forward to being associated with you.
